Artist Bio:

Nkosinathi Quwe is a visual artist from Eastern Cape whose work is full of colours, stories, rhythm and textures of the rural Transkei he grew up in. He has a B-Tech in Fine Art from the University of Johannesburg.
Nkosinathi’s work not only reflects on his personal journey, but it also heals and gives a voice to the voiceless.
Charcoal and paint on paper are Nkosinathi’s main media; his compositions are also influenced by the multi-faceted and multi-layered stories from his childhood told to him by his grandmother and inspiration from artists like Dumile Feni and Jean-Michel Basquiat.
Nkosinathi has participated in numerous art exhibitions.
